Every year since 1988, I look forward to our yearly CSBC Ministers Wife’s Retreat. I have only missed 3-4 retreats since then, and I absolutely hate missing! I always look forward to rest, relaxation, inspirational and encouraging teaching sessions along with the worshipful hymns and praise songs. I can hardly wait for yet another year’s great opportunity to reconnect and fellowship with other Ministry wife friends both, new and longtime relationships, to hear what God has been doing in their lives and areas of ministry!
WOW! This year’s retreat did not disappoint! Another year’s great retreat experience! Cathie Smith and her retreat team did a fantastic job coordinating everything! The hotel room accommodations and conference room were wonderful. The decorations and photo booth were simple, yet beautiful. The gift bags and treats provided for each of us were fun, delicious, and generally amazing! Carol and Megan emceed every session with informational yet lighthearted humor, and fun, as well as leading great group fellowship interactions. Tarah and her worship team set an engaging atmosphere for heartfelt and focused worship! Every one of the speakers did an amazing job with their teaching presentations. Just when I thought the teachings couldn’t be any better, the next speaker would deliver yet another incredible message. Bravo to Cathie, Ann, Christa, and Rita, who beautifully reflected the Retreat “Reality Check” theme with biblical principles which had relevant applications to our current ministry culture, as well as personal applications that challenged, inspired, and encouraged me in a variety of areas of my life and ministry. I am still reflecting on and processing through everything they shared!
My words fall short of adequately expressing all the goodness of our weekend together! Thank you to everyone who helped make our weekend possible and memorable! CSBC, keep up the fantastic work ministering to and equipping those who minister to our communities and churches! I am already looking forward to next year’s Retreat! God willing, I will see many more of my sister servants there in 2024!!
