SAN ANTONIO, TX — The CSBC Communications Team came home from the 61st Annual Wilmer C. Fields Awards with arms full and hearts full, earning eight awards across categories for creative excellence in video, web, audio, and storytelling. Held in conjunction with the Baptist Communicators Association (BCA) Spring Workshop, this year’s ceremony recognized standout work among Baptist agencies, state conventions, universities, and media outlets nationwide.
For those unfamiliar, BCA is more than a professional guild; it’s a 70-year-strong fellowship of storytellers, designers, videographers, podcasters, and wordsmiths dedicated to lifting high the name of Jesus through creative communication. The annual workshop and competition foster growth, recognize excellence, and encourage communicators to sharpen their craft.
CSBC submitted 13 entries and came home with eight wins—three First Place, four Second Place, and one Third. Here’s a look at the team’s standout submissions and what the judges had to say:

Teamwork That Builds the Kingdom
These wins reflect not just a creative edge, but a collaborative spirit. From videographers and podcast hosts to writers, designers, and editors, this is what happens when the body of Christ brings their best to the table, together.
In a nod to that very spirit of partnership, the North American Mission Board (NAMB) also took home First Place in a news writing category for a story featuring California’s own Bogdan Kipko and the flourishing Ukrainian ministry here in the Golden State. This story developed through the faithful collaboration between CSBC and NAMB.
