FRESNO – The California Southern Baptist introduced a digital “E-dition” of the newspaper with the May issue.
Since then individuals and churches have received e-mails with a link to the digital E-dition and have been able to access the file through the front page of the California Southern Baptist Convention website.
The free trial period concludes with the August issue, but there are several avenues for continuing to receive the CSB E-dition or beginning a new subscription
Paid subscribers to the print edition of the newspaper are eligible to receive a complimentary copy of the digital edition. However, an e-mail address will be required in order to deliver the digital publication. Paid print subscribers wanting to receive a digital copy each month should send an e-mail to thecsb@csbc.com with the name and address as it appears on the newspaper’s mailing label.
Individual subscriptions
Individuals not currently subscribing to the print edition, but who would like to subscribe to the E-dition, can do so at www.csbc.com/csb. Just click on the “Subscribe” icon on the left side of the page and make the appropriate selection. A one-year subscription for the digital edition is $5 per subscriber. Shortly after the first of every month, individual subscribers will receive an e-mail from the CSB with a link to the digital file. Simply click on the link to open that month’s digital format.
Church subscriptions
Churches also may subscribe to the E-dition online. The cost for church subscriptions to the digital format is based on church worship attendance, and is good for one year. The subscribing church is responsible for distribution to its members. Following are the rates per year based on church worship attendance:
1-100 | $25 |
101-200 | $50 |
201-400 | $75 |
400-plus | $100 |
Distribution to members could be done in a variety of ways such as
sending the E-dition link via e-mail to individual members of the
church, including the link in the church’s weekly e-newsletter to
members or posting the link on the church website.1
Terry Barone, editor of the CSB, noted the E-dition is “another of avenue of disseminating news and information about California Southern Baptist Convention and its churches, as well as news about the Southern Baptist Convention and our cooperative missionary endeavors worldwide.”
He added individuals and churches can still subscribe to the print edition of the newspaper, noting the “information and rates for subscribing to the print edition also can be found on the CSBC website.”
He encouraged those interested in either the digital or print editions of the newspaper to access information on the website or contact the CSB staff at 559-229-9533, ext. 225, or e-mail thecsb@csbc.com.
