California Southern Baptists are fulfilling the Great Commission and the Great Commandment with events and activities statewide. In 2015, California Southern Baptists reported 12,151 baptisms. Even though that figure was a decrease from the previous year, CSBC ranked 9th in the nation among state Baptist conventions for the total number of baptisms.
In 2015, California Southern Baptists also reported 95 new or newly affiliated congregations, consisting of 10 African-American, 49 Anglo/multi-ethnic and 36 languages.
