Stewardship 101: Pastors and Stewardship in the 21st Century
Stewardship is the stabilizer of the church. Without stable General Fund giving, a church will fail. Without adequate General Fund revenue, a church will not be able to pay its pastor, staff, bills, maintain its property, and most importantly, conduct the Kingdom work for which it was founded. Inadequate financial reporting can result in a church’s unawareness of its true financial position and mask systemic problems facing the church.
Many pastors are uncomfortable confronting the monetary stewardship needs of their churches, which only compounds the challenges of revenue shortfall over time. And when the time comes to deal with years of deferred maintenance, or to begin a capital giving campaign, the discussion of how much money is needed is frequently even more problematic.

CSBC is partnering with Mike Stadelmayer of Church Growth Services to equip pastors and churches to:
- Develop stewardship and capital giving campaigns
- Understand the importance of proper financial reporting and stewardship messaging
- Develop strategies to improve giving
