Churches on mission beyond their walls.

The Evangelism Team exists to equip churches to be on mission beyond the walls of their buildings by resourcing the vision of the local church. There are 2,405 Southern Baptist churches and missions tasked with reaching 40 million people in California with the gospel. We are here to resource, equip, and encourage churches and leaders to advance their strategic plan to reach their communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Through leadership development, skilled training, local church ministry development, the Evangelism Initiatives Team assists congregations to share the gospel throughout California.

Evangelism Grants

CSBC offers grants to assist evangelism efforts in CSBC churches. The grants are made possible by the financial support from California Churches. Please note that a prerequisite to receiving the grant is that the requesting church must have supported the Cooperative Program and/or California Missions Offering consistently within the last year.

For questions related to the Grant Request process, please contact Echo Turner | eturner@csbc.com

Learn to Recognize Opportunities

If you share the gospel with someone, it is most likely the last time they will ever hear it in their lifetime! That is the current world we live in today. There is no one coming behind us if we miss the opportunity. We must be intentional in our planning, resolute in our implementation, and celebrative in God’s work in discipleship making.

Evangelism Training & Events

1 Million Gospel Presentations by 2030

In 2023 CSBC and Associations across CA trained around 400 churches through an Evangelism Workshop - to reach their community with the gospel. 334 of those churches requested a grant to assist with their plan. The events that followed shared the gospel with 120,034 people! If we can stay the course, by 2030 we will see 1 million gospel engagements as a result of Evangelism Workshop trainings.
